I've been reading a lot these past few months (almost a book every three days.) It feels great to be freed from the strong grip of TiVo and the never-ending barrage of new TV programming at last. Cutting out TV from my week nights proved to be the best remedy for the no-time-to-read habit, which I've developed over the past few years as career and social obligations have become my main priority. I'm glad to get back to my omnivorous reading habit and I'm crossing my fingers that it won't fade as the new new year and its challenges approach.
I'm looking forward to reading these great books and enjoying them the way I enjoyed the ones before them. Have you read any of these books yet? Which one should I start with? I'm currently reading Anne Rice's newest--Angel Time--and I'm really enjoying it.
What a wonderful selection of books. I will admit I hadnt heard of some (and have nipped off to Amazon to have a mooch) they all sound really good. I have read Her Hearful Symmetry and its great, nothing like The Time Travellers Wife which was amazing, but a great book in its own rite. The House at Riverton was good though I havent run out and bout The Forgotten Garden yet. I have heard great things about Nocturnes and mixed things about Let The Great World Spin.
You have sure got some great reading adventures ahead of you, thats for sure.
